Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has urged fans to keep the faith.

Van Gaal recalls his time with AZ Alkmaar, having won the Eredivisie a year after finishing eleventh in the standings.

"I said I will (leave) but the (AZ) players came to my house to ask me to stay, and the board also," he said.

"Then we were the champions."
