Van Gaal loses rag with Man Utd players in training

New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal lost his rag with the players in training at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on Tuesday night.

During shooting practice, observers were surprised at how annoyed Van Gaal seemed when players were not successful and he certainly seemed happy to put players in their place in front of hundreds of fans who had queued up to watch the United squad in action, reports the Daily Mail.

What particularly annoyed Van Gaal was players missing the target completely or shooting too close to the goalkeeper.

Van Gaal has only been working with United's players for less than a week since arriving from World Cup duty with Holland and has promised to judge them all with an open mind.

But onlookers at United's work out in California saw the 62-year-old admonish and praise his players in equal measure during a fascinating session ahead of Wednesday night's tour match with LA Galaxy at the stadium that hosted the 1994 World Cup Final.
