Van Dijk warned Liverpool pals during Brighton win: You're getting f***ing lazy

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was demanding teammates maintain their standards right to the final whistle of victort at Brighton last night.

Due to the stadium being empty, shouts between players can be picked up by the television cameras, and the booming voice of Van Dijk didn't escape fans during the closing stages, reports the Daily Star.

As Liverpool players started to give the opposition time and space on the ball as they awaited the final whistle, the central-defender was heard saying: "C'mon boys you're getting f***ing lazy!"

The Reds have now won 30 of their 34 league games this season, conceding only 26 goals and scoring 75.

Van Dijk has been a huge part of that success, playing in all of their fixtures and keeping a total of 21 clean sheets.
