Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to get the all-clear from Dr. Van Dijk today over his ankle injury.
Ronaldo set foot on the training pitch yesterday for the first time in over two weeks, doing some light running and ball work on his own with a member of the coach staff.
The Portuguese ace finished the session in good spirits and now will have his ankle examined by favoured surgeon Van Dijk, who is jetting in from Holland this morning.
If he gets the green light, Ronaldo will do an afternoon session at Valdebebas - and coming through that, he will be immediately available to coach Manuel Pellegrini for this weekend's clash with Racing Santander.
