Former Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart says it's clear that his old club miss Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is breaking goalscoring records at Juventus this season as Real continue to struggle in attack.

Van der Vaart considered on Goal: "You cannot replace a player who scores 40 or 50 goals per season like this.

"Of course, Cristiano is missed by Real. What he accomplished there is totally crazy.

"Santiago Solari does a very good job, but he needs time. The team must grow together to make up for Ronaldo's departure."
