Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar wants manager Sir Alex Ferguson to go Dutch to replace him.
United have signed Aalesunds' Danish keeper Anders Lindegaard, but Ferguson has stated he will buy another keeper as he prepares for Van der Sar's end-of-season retirement.
The People says Van der Sar has backed the prospects of Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax and talked him up to Ferguson.
However, United coaching staff favour German national keeper Manuel Neuer from Schalke 04.
