Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar says Louis van Gaal's team are now playing the 'right way'.

The Ajax chief has watched with interest United's improvement under Van Gaal this season.

"At the beginning of the season, United played some matches that was not worth watching," the former goalkeeper said.

"The knockouts in the Capital One Cup and later in the FA Cup were almost traumatic, but in the last seven or eight weeks, you can see that the strength and enthusiasm has returned to the team.

"United play like it should play."
