Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is keen on a new contract extension.
The Mirror says he wants a contract extension at Manchester United - by hitting his 30-game target.
The veteran Dutchman signed for one season in the summer but there is a clause in his agreement at Old Trafford that means a guaranteed extension if he plays in a certain amount of matches.
Van der Sar, 40 next month, is still Sir Alex Ferguson's number one but wants to be sure he hits the total fast - and is pushing hard to be selected for the Champions League matches too.
Ferguson was considering giving Polish reserve Tomasz Kuszczak a few appearances in Europe, especially in the group stages, to give him games and let Van der Sar have a rest.
