New Manchester United signing Donny van de Beek is set to pick the no.34 shirt at the club.

While the move is not officially confirmed, van de Beek has all but completed his move to the Red Devils.

And the Daily Mail claims the Dutchman will ask for the no.34 shirt at United for next season.

It is due to van de Beek honouring former teammate Appie Nouri.

The ex-Ajax man suffered brain damage due to a collapse in a game against Werder Bremen in July 2017.

Many of his teammates took the no.34 when they left Ajax for other clubs, and van de Beek is set to do the same.
