Giovani van Bronckhorst is waiting in the wings to step in for Mikel Arteta at Manchester City.

City assistant manager Arteta is in advanced talks to take the manager's job at Arsenal this week.

And should Arteta leave the champions, former Feyenoord coach Van Bronckhorst is available to step in to fill the void.

The Dutchman is now part of the City Football Group and has been linked with Domenec Torrent's job at MLS partners New York City FC.

However, he could now join City manager Pep Guardiola as his assistant. The pair know eachother from their time together at Barcelona.
