Van Bronckhorst emerging as favourite for Rangers job

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is emerging as favourite for the Rangers job.

The Daily Mail says the former Holland captain, who reached the 2010 World Cup final, made 117 appearances for Rangers between 1998-2001 before moving on to Arsenal.

Since retiring 11 years ago, Van Bronckhorst has managed Feyenoord to an Eredivisie title in 2017, and was most recently in charge of Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F before leaving at the end of 2020.

He also had a stint with Manchester City.

Also considered is former Norwich defender and current Swansea boss Russell Martin, who played at Rangers for one season in 2017-18.
