Ernesto Valverde is delighted to have returned to Athletic Bilbao.

Valverde was appointed at the start of the season after the departure of Marcelino. It is the second spell in charge for Valverde.

He said, "It is a club that anyone would like to train.

"One of the strengths it has is to make everyone feel involved in an idea, to feel inside something that is special.

"Everyone is pushing in the same direction. There is a degree of internal connection within the team and between all the club levels that is noticeable."
