Valencia are keeping tabs on Nacional de Montevideo defender Sebastian Coates.
The 20 year-old is in the process of acquiring a Spanish passport and has been likened to Uruguay international and Fenerbahce defender Diego Lugano.
Coates is contracted to Nacional until December, 2011, and is available for around £4 million.
