Valencia striker Rodrigo was full of praise for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea after Spain's win in England.
The goalkeeper has had a difficult time of it over the past few months with his country, coming in for notable criticism during the World Cup.
However, he received strong backing from Saturday night's goal hero Rodrigo.
"It is always important to put in good performances, which David [De Gea] did, and I hope that you have just as much praise in his favour now as you did have criticism for him," he said.
"Wembley is a very complicated stadium to play in and England are a great opponent.
"We played a great game and overcame things after going behind.
"In the second half, we tried to look for the goal and little by little defended, with De Gea saving us more than once."
