Los Che have permission to sign an emergency replacement player after Ezequiel Garay was ruled out for the remainder of the season due to knee surgery.
And young Ghanaian stopper Salisu has been mentioned as the player Valencia wish to sign.
Valladolid sports chief Miguel Angel Gomez, however, insisted: "There's market opportunities, but the less talk about Salisu, better for him. I think that we have corrected last year's mistake with Fernando and he is very focused.
"The club has nothing to communicate because we have no record of the interest of Valencia.
"My impression, as I said the entire winter market, is that Salisu will continue here. There is no fear."
