Valencia see punishments reduced for Vini Jr abuse

Valencia have seen their punishments reduced after appealing against a partial stadium closure.

Valencia were ordered to close the Mario Kempes stand for five games and fined €45,000 for the racist abuse of Real Madrid attacker Vini Jr.

However, the stand's closure has been reduced to three games and the fine is now €27,000 after the Appeal's Committee heard Valencia's case yesterday.

VCF still feel the punishment is excessive.
