Valencia are confident burning off competition for Joao Cancelo.

The youngster is on-loan at Los Che this season from Benfica and is being linked with Manchester United and Barcelona.

United boss Louis van Gaal sees Cancelo as a replacement for Rafael da Silva, who is expected to be offloaded this summer.

However, Levante Emv says Benfica expect Valencia to take up the option to sign Cancelo permanently for €15 million.

This despite sources at Valencia insisting the board regard Benfica's valuation as over the top.

Should Los Che dither, United are expected to step in with a counter offer.
