Valencia president Anil Murthy has been recorded slating former coach Marcelino and sporting director Mateu Alemany.
Marcelino and Alemany both left VCF after falling out with owner Peter Lim over the club's transfer market ambitions. Alemany is now sporting director of Barcelona and Marcelino coach of Athletic Bilbao.
In secret recordings published by Superdeporte, Murthy was critical of the pair at a club function.
He said: "I want to be friends with Mateu Alemay because now I have to do business with him. But who's talking about Jorge Sáenz? Do you know who he is? We bought 50 percent, two million. Manu Vallejo, Sobrino, what's the name of this... Jason.
"But this doesn't come out in the press because he knows how to drive. In the end, I have to pay the salaries. I'm here, I don't move. I'm in Mestalla when people scream. It's easy to spend other people's money and forget the lost money... Ferran Torres left for Marcelino and Mateu.
"Mateu's mistake was going with Marcelino and not going with the club. With Marcelino's departure, he couldn't continue because his project was Marcelino. But his project cost 200 million and us as manager, because you can go to the Champions League twice and the Cup, but if things go wrong, what? I'm leaving? Because there's another club that's going to sign me.
"I love managers, they always want money. He's a very good manager, he knows football very well. I had a life better with him. I suffer much more than the rest because of Mateu's departure."
