Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is chasing a place in France's World Cup squad.

Kondogbia is on-loan at Valencia this season from Inter Milan.

Of making Didier Deschamps' selection, he told L'Equipe: "Do I still believe in it? Yes, I believe in it, but we must not deny it: it will be very, very, very difficult.

"We know the quality of the squad. You have to be realistic, but you have to believe it, be on the lookout and give everything until the end of the season. Do I dream of the World Cup? Like any football player, I think about it.

"I dream like everyone else, and yes, I have to believe it. This is not pretense, far from it, but if you want to achieve certain goals, you must first believe that it is possible."
