Valencia midfielder Francis Coquelin says they must keep hold of Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The France international is on-loan at Valencia from Inter Milan.

"He must remain absolutely," Coquelin told AS. "He helped me a lot to integrate here, we often talk. I always tell him he has to stay, the team needs players like him.

"I hope the club makes an effort to keep him."

Kondogbia has already stated he has no interest in returning to Inter this summer.
