Everton are planning a move to sign Valencia custodian Diego Alves, according to reports from Deporte Valenciano.
Diego Alves has been pushed down the pecking order at Valencia as manager Pako Ayestaran is planning to use either Mathew Ryan or Jaume as his first choice goalkeeper during the upcoming season and the Brazilian international is widely expected to be leaving the Mestalla this summer.
Now according to reports emerging out of Spain, it has been claimed that Everton are keen on signing Alves and the Toffees could recruit the 31-year-old despite already landing the services of another goalkeeper in the form of Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham.
Ronald Koeman wants reinforcements at Goodison Park after veteran Tim Howard departed and could add Alves to compete with Joel Robles and the newly-arrived Stekelenburg.
