Valencia are keen to bring Atletico Madrid striker David Villa back to the Mestalla.
Villa, 32, is only in his first season with Atletico, but has been left frustrated in recent weeks as coach Diego Simeone went with Raul Garcia ahead of him in his starting line-up.
Fichajes.net says Valencia are monitoring developments closely and the board would welcome the chance to re-sign Villa in the summer.
The striker has also talked up the prospect of moving to MLS this week.
