Valencia insist Real Madrid still must meet their asking price for striker David Villa.
Reacting to press claims of a done deal, Valencia sporting director Fernando Gomez said: "What has been published today is false.
"The negotiations are open and our president, Manuel Llorente, will deal with it personally."
