Valencia expect Manchester City to table an offer for defender Nicolas Otamendi before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail is reporting that City are keeping an eye on the Argentine defender who is believed to have a £35million buy out clause in his contract.

It is understood Valencia are happy to part ways with the 27-year-old and use the cash from the sale to strengthen other areas of their squad.

Otamendi has also been heavily linked with Manchester United this summer but as of yet, no deal has been struck.
