Valencia are insisting on a straight cash deal for Barcelona target Jose Luis Gaya.

Sport says Barcelona want Valencia's Jose Gaya. Valencia are interested in Barcelona's Martin Braithwaite. There could be a deal to be made, but Los Che don't want the Danish forward to be used as part exchange for their fullback.

Barca see Gaya as an heir to Jordi Alba, while Junior Firpo is leaving to AC Milan if things go to plan. Valencia would take Braithwaite on loan rather than buying him.

Carles Alena is another name linked as part of a swap for Gaya but he's closer to Getafe, where he spent last season on loan, or Granada, who will be coached by Robert Moreno. In any case, Valencia are saying it's cash only for Gaya, at least for now.
