Valencia defender Gaya urges calm after Barcelona defeat

Valencia defender Jose Gaya insists they didn't deserve defeat at Barcelona.

VCF are now winless after five games following this 3-1 setback.

"It was a difficult game. We went 0-1 up and they equalised very shortly afterwards. The game got away from us. The team tried, right until the end, and it wasn't to be," said Valencia captain Gaya.

"We will focus on the next game, against Mallorca. They will also make things difficult for us, but we have to go out there with motivation in every game that remains. There is still a long way to go, and we have to keep moving forward.

"We came here with the intention of winning, and that's what we tried to do. It wasn't to be, and now we will focus on the next game."
