Valencia defender Gabriel Paulista has sung the praises of goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Mamardashvili again impressed for VCF in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Cadiz.

Gabriel said: "We had prepared for two weeks to get the three points today, but it is very difficult because they don't take many risks. This point was very important for Cadiz.

"We know that we didn't play a good enough game to get the three points: We didn't create chances, and you can't play like that. We have to do a little more if we are to look for positive results. It's true that we kept another clean sheet, and that's important.

"We're more confident on the defensive side and Giorgi Mamardashvili has helped us a lot, as he's a great goalkeeper. Now we have a game against a very strong team at home, who defend well."
