Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves has suffered a serious knee injury.
Diego Alves broke down during Saturday's clash with Almeria.
Valencia announced this morning: "After undergoing tests today [Sunday] Diego Alves has a confirmed rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and of the meniscus in his right knee.
"He will require surgery."
