Valencia attacker Goncalo Guedes is delighted with his form this season.

On-loan from PSG, the Portugal international has been outstanding for Los Che this term.

"I work every day to keep doing things even better," Guedes told AS. "It was very important for me to come to Valencia in order to have minutes because I am a very young player.

"I do not pay much attention to compliments because this is football: one day you're very good and another day you're the worst. I prefer to be very calm and work to do things well and everything will go little by little."

Guedes also spoke of his friendship with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I did not have a special idol but since I am Portuguese, there is a player that marks us, which is Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a very important figure for me ... I remember the first day that I coincided with him in the national team. He was very good to me. Before I saw Cristiano on television and now I have him in my own locker room."
