Victor Valdes has agreed personal terms with Barcelona over a new contract.
The goalkeeper yesterday gave his approval to a new offer from Barca worth £6 million-a-year over five years. It is £2 million-a-year less than what Valdes had originally been demanding.
The agreement was struck on the same day that Barca president Joan Laporta returned to the club offices after being out of the country on business. It's understood Gines Carvajal, Valdes' agent, phoned Laporta during the day to inform him that their offer had been accepted.
