Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano has questioned whether they can prise Kylian Mbappe away from PSG.
There has been a lot of talk about Mbappe's future, with his contract set to expire in 2022, and it curiously seems to be linked to that of Lionel Messi, who is a free agent this summer but was clearly overshadowed by the 22-year-old on Tuesday night.
"Mbappe is further away from Real Madrid tonight than ever before," Valdano, who previously worked at Real Madrid in multiple roles, told Onda Cero's El Transistor show.
"He can ask for 30 million [euros per year], the same as Neymar, and I think only PSG can give him that."
What's clear is that the Argentine was very impressed by the performance put in by PSG as a team, not just Mbappe.
"He has the personality to show all his class in big matches," Valdano said.
"PSG were much more than Mbappe today. The second half was a real nightmare for Barcelona."
