Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano has hit back at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola has angered many Real identities when declaring Real weren't among the best teams of the last decade.

And Valdano responded yesterday on Onda Cero.

He said, "I would say to Guardiola that we measure in cycles of 100 years.

"And there, Real Madrid wins 1-0 (against FC Barcelona). But the next century is yet to come."

Over the last 100 years, Real Madrid have won 33 Championships in Spain and 13 Champions League titles, while FC Barcelona has won "only" 25 times in the Liga and 5 times in the Champions League.
