USL PRO team on the cards for New York Red Bulls

New York Red Bulls are working on bringing in a team to the USL PRO league according to reports.

NYRB general manager Marc de Grandpre told EmpireOfSoccer.com that the club have plans in place to field a side in US Soccer's third tier in the not too distant future.

"It's all coming together," he said. "We have a few things we need to hash out, but it is happening."

It is also being reported that the Red Bulls second team would play its home games at either Red Bull Arena or Columbia University's Baker Athletic Complex in Manhattan.

If the Red Bulls do form a USL PRO team, it will be the seventh club from MLS who have a second side in the third division following Toronto FC, LA Galaxy, Portland Timbers, Montreal Impact, Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps.
