The USA international winger is moving to Ibrox from PSV Eindhoven and declared yesterday he was convinced about Rangers by his international teammate Claudio Reyna.
Beasley was a team-mate of Celtic's Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink during their time at PSV and will relish the chance to renew their acquaintance on the field.
"I haven't spoken to Jan yet but I'm sure I'll see him around the city and meet up with him for dinner," added Beasley. "He was a guy I spoke to at PSV."
Beasley, who spent last season on loan at Manchester City, said he had rejected interest from Holland, Spain and England to arrive at Rangers. His involvement in helping the US win the CONCACAF Gold Cup means Beasley will now be granted a fortnight's holiday before joining his new team-mates at their training camp in Germany.
He promised to study DVDs of Rangers matches from last season while back in America and hopes to deliver dynamism to Walter Smith's side.
"I like to be on the ball and I definitely like my left foot," said Beasley. "I use my speed because I definitely can't use my size.
"I'll do anything I can to help the team and I like to make football exciting by getting behind defenders and going at them."
