USA looking to take attacking game to Brazil 2014 - LA Galaxy star Donovan

Landon Donovan has indicated that the USA national team will be going to the Brazil World Cup with a very positive attitude.

The US beat South Korea 2-0 in California on Saturday, to cap their successful January training camp, and Donovan says the plan is to go to Brazil with an attacking mindset in order to catch Group G opponents Germany, Portugal and Ghana off guard.

"We really emphasized at this camp being confident and playing not just lumping the ball forward and hoping to see what happens," he told ussoccer.com.

"We wanted to take this opportunity in a friendly to be confident and play.

"We could go to Brazil, play three games and sit back for 90 minutes and pray we get results. But, that's not how we're going to progress as a soccer nation, so we're going to go with the confidence to play."
