USA national team coach Bob Bradley has heaped praise on Aston Villa defender Eric Lichaj for his performance in yesterday's win over Guadeloupe.
The 22-year old played a full 90 minutes in defence as the USA progressed to the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup and his performance was applauded by Bradley.
"I thought Eric did a solid job. Physically he matches up well with people," the coach said.
"He's good in one-on-one situations, and certainly he's somebody who is a good possibility moving forward."
Lichaj's future at Villa Park is uncertain after he was sent on loan to Leeds United last season but more performances like this may force the club to keep him on their roster.
