Herculez Gomez has been traded from Pachuca to Estudiantes Tecos it has been confirmed.
The 29-year old, who has been capped eight times by the USA national team, joined Pachuca after scoring 10 goals for Puebla in the 2010 season but has already been moved on as the Tuzos get set for a clearout of their squad.
Gomez comes to Estudiantes, along with teammate Braulio Luna, with Tecos forward Mauro Cejas going the other way and vice-president Juan Jose Frangie indicated that it was a favourable trade.
"We can't lose sight of the situation in which we find ourselves in - the percentage zone, the drop zone," he told the club's official website.
"The next two seasons will be very difficult and that's why the executive committee started working on signing players two months ago."
