Ural star Gazinsky backing Zakharyan for Chelsea move

FC Ural star Yury Gazinsky is backing Arsen Zakharyan for a move to Chelsea in January.

Chelsea's attempts to sign the Dynamo Moscow winger this summer was blocked due to financial sanctions against Russia. However, there's a confidence of a deal going through midseason.

Russia midfielder Gazinsky told Sport-Express: "As a footballer, I like Zakharyan. He plays not for his age - smart enough. It is only his merit that top teams follow him. If he continues to work, he will definitely leave.

"All the big clubs follow all the players, whether they are Russian or not. Therefore, Arsen was included in their list. This means that they see potential and potential for growth in him.

"I understand that the problem was only in the transfer of money. If not for this situation, he would have already moved on. It all depends on Arsen – if he continues to play well, then I don't see any obstacles for him to leave in the winter."
