Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez plans to play out his final years at home in Chile.

That's according to José Luis Navarrete, the president of Azul Azul - the company that runs Universidad de Chile.

Speaking with DirecTV, Navarrete said Alexis, a former self-confessed supporter of la U, is planning to play in Chile again.

"I talked to Alexis and he is our fan, he wants to play or retire here," said Navarrete.

However, there was also an admission that an immediate deal was unlikely given Alexis' massive United salary.

The Chile striker is currently on-loan with Inter Milan.
