Union Berlin encouraging English interest for Newcastle, Bournemouth target Andersson

Union Berlin are encouraging Premier League interest in Sebastian Andersson.

The Sweden international is up for sale at Union and a target for David Wagner's Schalke.

However, Kicker says Union would prefer to sell to an English club as Andersson's buyout clause jumps by 30 per cent for Premier League teams.

A price in the region of €5m has been mooted, with Union manager Oliver Ruhnert eager for a quick sale: "To have a certain team security and planning it needs to be done as early as possible. If such a player suddenly went out of the squad on October 1st, it would be difficult."

Newcastle United and Bournemouth are interested, along with Championship trio Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Brentford.
