The written note passed to Ferran Torres during Barcelona's Champions League win against Viktoria Plzen this week has been published.
Pablo Torre replaced Franck Kessie on 81 minutes and entered the pitch with a note from the bench to pass onto Torres.
TV cameras captured the sequence and the face of the Valencian, who had a hard time understanding what was written. The note had been put together by Sergio Alegre, one of coach Xavi's assistants.
"I don't know what it said, I just gave it to Ferran," Torre later said.
The instructions for Torres were simple for the final nine minutes once Kessie had been replaced by Pablo Torre to take charge of the role that the Ivorian had in the defensive phase: “Defensive corner, score 2 (Hejda, from 1.91m); defensive lateral foul, first in line; barrier, fourth."
It's suggested Alegre had detailed instructions for Torres to fulfil when Barca were without the ball.
