Mikel Arteta is overseeing the worst start to a season at Arsenal in almost 40 years.
Indeed, Arsenal are now in a worse position than they were at the same time last season when Unai Emery was sacked.
After the 13th matchday it was over for Emery. At this point, Arsenal were eighth with 18 points and one point behind fifth place on the table.
The record for the current season reads much worse: After ten games, the club from north London is only 14th with 13 points - and the Europa League places are four points away - the worst start for the Gunners since the 1981/82 season.
Arteta's average points during his almost one year tenure (1.96) is still better than Emery's (1.85), however, despite the team's sudden form slide.
