The wiretaps involving Manchester United's attempt for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie have been published.
La Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed the conversation between then president Andrea Agnelli and sporting director Federico Cherubini over United's approach for the USA international.
On August 21, Agnelli and Cherubini held talks about the possibility of selling McKennie to United.
"If they give us 50 million euros, we'll give him to them," Agnelli told Cherubini.
Who in turn replied: "Here, United told me: 'We'll give you (Donny) van de Beek', who is a good player, but we don't need him in his position.
"If they did it for a position we need, at that point we can give him and the value can be higher".
"Clear", was Agnelli's answer.
