Uefa has revealed it saw its revenue climb 38 per cent for the 2018/19 financial year, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The figure was revealed during the 44th Uefa Congress in Amsterdam, featuring all of the organisation's 55 member associations. The annual gathering also saw Uefa confirm it had generated €15 billion (US$16.7 billion) in revenue from 2016 to 2020.
In addition, the soccer body confirmed that the final of its elite Uefa Champions League tournament was the world's most watched annual club soccer event, and that there was a 13 billion cumulative global audience for all Uefa-organised matches over a three-year cycle.
Furthermore, digital engagement across all Uefa competitions had seen more than 18 billion social media interactions last season.
