UEFA are investigating allegations of racial abuse towards a Liverpool youth team player during their Youth League group stage match with Spartak Moscow.
The Reds sent in an official complaint to UEFA after teenager Bobby Adenkanye was targeted by Spartak fans.
The Nigerian is said to have been subjected to jeers and chants when he entered the game as a second half substitute and when he retrieved the ball after it had gone out of play.
"Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Youth League group stage match between FC Spartak Moskva and Liverpool FC (2-1), played on September 26 in Russia," said a UEFA statement.
