Udinese target Longstaff sits out Newcastle training

Wantaway Newcastle United star Matty Longstaff sat out training.

The young midfielder is subject of a transfer offer from Udinese.

The Italian club wish to offer him a signing on fee of more than £2.5 million, along with wages of £30,000-a-week.

Longstaff is out of contract this summer, and the 20-year-old has shown no signs of signing a new deal.

The Daily Mailreports he was absent from training due to a thigh strain.

Manager Steve Bruce expects him to be back with the group in the coming days.

But it is unclear if the player will be available to play when the Premier League resumes, if he is set on moving away this summer.
