Udinese chief Daniele Prade has welcomed their deal for Watford defender Marvin Zeegelaar.

Zeegelaar has joined Watford on-loan to June.

Prade said, "Zeegelaar is a long-range player with excellent acceleration: he has a good defensive reading, intercepts a lot of balls and knows how to pass the ball well.

"He has strong airplay and has gained experience in important championships."
