Jamie Redknapp believes Diego Costa was lucky to stay on the pitch in Chelsea's win over West Ham United on Monday night.

The Spanish striker produced a dangerous challenge on Hammers goalkeeper Adrian in the second half of his side's eventual 2-1 victory, which came courtesy of a late strike from Costa, who according to Redknapp, should have been sent off.

"This is a straight red card, that challenge there, it's typical Costa, it happens too often," he said on Sky Sports.

"That there, it comes down the shin, over the ankle, it won't be the first time, it won't be the last time, he shouldn't be on the pitch."
