Two new potential buyers emerge for Portsmouth

Two potential buyers have emerged for Portsmouth.

The Times says Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf, the Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, has been contacted through a third party to find out whether he would be prepared to mount a takeover.

But sources at the club say that a consortium, described as Irish-American, is moving rapidly to buy out Balram Chainrai, the Hong Kong businessman who became Portsmouth's fourth owner in the past six months when he took control from Ali al-Faraj last week.
