Two more to depart Rangers as Fleck, Ortiz turn down newco

Ten Rangers players have now objected to transferring their contracts to the clubs newco after John Fleck and Juanma Ortiz opted against it.

20-year old midfielder Fleck, who spent part of last season on loan with Blackpool, has written a letter of objection to Charles Green's reformed club and will join a host of 'Gers stars who will turn their back on the Ibrox outfit.

"I also act for John Fleck and can confirm that a letter of objection has been sent to the club along with requests to the SFA to release the player's registration," said lawyer Margaret Gribbon of Bridge Litigation.

It is also believed that 30-year old Spanish winger Ortiz has sent a letter of objection as he gets set for a possible return to his homeland.

The other players to say no to Green's newco are Steven Naismith, Steven Whittaker, Allan McGregor, Sone Aluko, Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty, Jamie Ness and Rhys McCabe.
